As further evidence that American television lacks any creativity, ABC is getting set to begin taping “Football Wives”, which is a port of a UK television show called “Footballer Wives” (wow, even the title lacks creativity), which focuses on a group of wives of pro football players.

Michael K at DListed reports that the show’s pilot director, none other than Bryan Synger, wants Heather Locklear to play the lead wife. In an interesting twist of fate, it seems that Heather’s bitter enemy Denise Richards tried to nab the same role before.

Carmen Electra looked hot as always at this year’s Billboard Music Awards. But WTF was up with Denise Richards??? Not only was she too covered up but she was sporting some nappy hair. What’s the point of being hot and rich if you’re not gonna look good?

Okay, maybe not quite. Things have simmered down between Denise Richards and Charlie Sheen in the ongoing divorce dealings. The latest I’ve heard is that Denise has agreed to take down the restraining order against Charlie (some sources claim it’s still in effect).

TMZ.com managed to score an interview with a somewhat dishevelled Denise Richards in which she claims she didn’t start getting it on with singer Richie Sambora until after he split up with Heather Locklear.

Is it just me or is this Denise Richards/Charlie Sheen/Richie Sambora/Heather Locklear situation going to get much, much worse before it gets better? What do you think?
